New A507 pedestrian and cycle bridge plans submitted

As part of the community benefits associated with Arlesey East (and as noted in the Arlesey Cross masterplan), a new footbridge/cyclebridge will be provided over the A507. The 3m wide bridge will provide a safe means of access from the development to Etonbury Wood and potentially through to the Etonbury Academy.

The steel bridge will have a non slip surface and a part timber balustrade, creating an attractive lit link across the A507. On the western side it will be accessed via an on an earth ramp.  On the eastern side, there is a steel ramp and stairs – see below for a 3d sketch of the bridge.

When the planning application has been officially registered, we will update this page.
